Tia Justice Pinacie-Littlechief, 20, of Regina, Saskatchewan has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of 27 year old Justin Crowe of the Piapot First Nation.

On Tuesday October 27, Southey RCMP received a call before 6 a.m. about a man stabbed at a residence on the Piapot First Nation. Police and EMS responded to the scene where the male was found deceased.

During the early stages of the investigation, RCMP were able to determine that there had been a social gathering at the residence where the deceased male was located.  Based on information gathered during the course of the investigation, an adult female was located and arrested without incident on October 27th.

Crowe and Pinacie-Littlechief were acquaintances.

Pinacie-Littlechief made her first court appearance at Provincial Court in Regina, Saskatchewan at 9:30 am this morning.  Her matter was adjourned until November 19th, 2015 at 9:30 am at Provincial Court in Regina.

Southey RCMP along with the assistance of RCMP Major Crime South, Regina General Investigation Section, RCMP Forensic Identification Section, and the Office of the Chief Coroner are continuing their investigation into this matter.

An autopsy has been ordered by the coroner and is being conducted.
