An RCMP officer at the Buffalo Narrows Detachments has been charged with sexual assault.

On June 1, 2015, the RCMP North District Management Team received a complaint of a sexual assault at a social gathering in a private residence in Dillon, Sk that had occurred on May 20, 2015.

A criminal investigation was launched into the complaint. As a result of this investigation, RCMP Constable Randy McKay was charged on October 21, 2015 with one count of sexual assault.

He was released on an undertaking with a number of conditions. Constable McKay is scheduled to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court on December 9, 2015 in Buffalo Narrows at 10:00 a.m.

RCMP began a Code of Conduct of Conduct investigation June 8, 2015 and Constable McKay was suspended with pay as the investigation continues.
