It’s been almost 11 years since Tamra Jewel Keepness disappeared from her Regina home. She was just five years old at the time, and though she’s still missing, she is never forgotten.

On Friday July 3, Regina Treaty/Status Indian Services will be hosting the 11th Annual Keepness BBQ at noon at Core Community Park in Regina, located on 11th Avenue and Montreal Street. The barbecue is held to show continued support for the family of the missing girl.

Members of the Regina Police Service will also be on hand to help with the barbecue.

Keepness was reported missing on July 6, 2004. She was last seen in her home on the 1800 block of Ottawa Street the night of July 5, 2004.  Her disappearance prompted an intensive ground search and a comprehensive investigation that continues to this day.

Her disappearance remains an open, long-term investigation. A reward of $50,000 is offered for information leading to her recovery.
