According to two recent surveys, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, formerly SIAST, is getting top grades from graduates and employers for its programming.

“Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s applied learning approach provides graduates with in-demand skills,” says Dr. Larry Rosia, president and CEO. “Students often have job offers before completing their studies and embarking upon their new careers.”

The survey on graduate employment survey indicated that a 94 percent employment rate for new Saskatchewan Polytechnic graduates, that’s a 10-year high, the institution noted in a press release.

Employment of Aboriginal graduates was 90 percent, according to the survey, up eight percentage points and matching numbers from a previous high two years ago.

The survey of graduates also showed that 98 percent of recent grads were were satisfied with Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s ability to prepare them for employment in their field.

A survey of employers showed that 98 per cent would hire one of the institution’s graduates again.
